Shelby Foxworthy returns to her hometown of Rendezvous Ridge Tennessee. Too much has changed since the last time she's been home, but the biggest change, Shelby is now a widow and millions of dollars in debt. The worst part, the life she's been living had been a lie. Shelby isn't even sure if she was really married let alone who the man she believed she was married to is.
Shelby returns home, begins paying off her newly acquired debts, and looks forward to putting all of this behind her. Then, she meets Griff Lott, an up and coming contractor. Things seem to be looking up for Shelby, but her newfound happiness is short lived. Shelby thought the worst was behind her, but the worst has yet to come. What do you do when your past refuses to die?
THE LIAR is very suspenseful and un-predicting. Roberts will have you clinging to the pages trying to guess exactly what will come next, and let me tell you - you won't! Along with the suspense, THE LIAR is also pleasantly romantic. (Not at all like the cheesy romances that are in so many other novels.) You'll have no problem at all breezing through the 512 pages of Shelby's story. Roberts makes it easy to root for the good guy and even more naturally to despise the bad. Amazing!
