Becca 'Bex' Stuart and her two friends, Hadleigh and Melody, grew up together as a close knit trio. As the women approached their thirties – each a successful businesswoman, but still single - they wanted more. The three women longed for a husband and a family of their own. So they made a marriage pact. They would work together to find the perfect man for themselves and each other. Now that her two friends are happily wed and pregnant, Bex feels left out. Things would have been different if her true love, Will, had lived. But she lost her fiancé ten years ago when he was killed in Afghanistan and she has not had a serious relationship since then. Having lost hope for a happy marriage of her own, Bex puts all her efforts into building her business, a successful chain of fitness centers. Although her friends think she is crazy, she also runs marathons and occasionally takes in her sister whose marriage is like a roller coaster ride with all its ups and downs. Unfortunately, her sister has a young son who keeps getting caught in the middle and Bex will do anything to give him a happy childhood. With so much going on in her life, Bex feels that she is too busy for a relationship. But as her two friends attempt a little matchmaking with Tate, the new widower in town, Bex cannot deny her attraction to him.

Tate Calder's marriage had been problematic. In fact, he and his wife had been two weeks away from divorcing when she died from the flu. Still, losing his wife had not been easy. Her death left him with two young sons to raise alone. Growing up, he hadn't seen his workaholic father very often and he wanted something different for his boys. So he gave up his career as a charter pilot and has moved to Mustang Creek to raise horses on his own ranch. But taking care of his boys, starting a new business and building a home for them keeps him busy. StillStill, Tate has trouble taking his eyes off of Bex, who stirs him in ways he can't explain, whenever she is around and he would love a relationship with her, but he has no plans to marry again.

Using his need for a female's help in picking out the appliances for his new home, Tate convinces Bex to go with him and soon they are dating, quite often with three little boys in tow. As they continue to see each other while working through their insecurities and fears, Tate realizes that he wants forever with Bex. But can he convince her that they deserve a second chance at love?

New York Times bestselling author Linda Lael Miller pens another heartwarming tale with THE MARRIAGE SEASON, the third and final book in her charming BRIDES OF BLISS COUNTY series, featuring two people who have loved and lost. Bex and Tate are perfect together. The chemistry between them is undeniable as is the love they are just discovering. There are times when Bex draws back, having reservations about their relationship and needing a bit of space, but Tate patiently gives her the time she needs, hoping to win her in the end. Adding to the enjoyment are the antics of the three little boys and their pets, as well as Hadleigh and Medley's pregnancy issues, which interjects a great deal of humor and warmth to the story.

Brimming with unforgettable characters, close-knit small town life, humor, passion, picturesque scenery, friendship, sweet romance, loss, healing, love and second chances, this story is not to be missed. Each of the books in this series can be read as a standalone, but I advise reading all three, starting with THE MARRIAGE PACT, followed by THE MARRIAGE CHARM and then THE MARRIAGE SEASON. Like me, I am sure you will be thrilled with these delicious contemporary romances that are filled with heart, heat and humor.
