Nicholas Monroe, owner of Monroe Global Security Systems, leans back in his chair and describes his ideal wife to his personal assistant, Claire Dalgliesh. Claire tries to hide behind her feelings about the suggestion her boss makes concerning marriage.  She harbors emotions for him. He continues with his proposal that the marriage will be emotionless and no love involved. That way, no feelings will be hurt.

Claire is shocked when Nicholas tells her she's the perfect choice and he's chosen her for his wife.  She is perfect and doesn't have any feelings towards him.  Claire is stunned to say the least and if she doesn't accept he will send her back to the secretarial pool.  She accepts the proposal but with a few conditions of her own.  Claire's condition is that Nicholas and she not get married for four months. That would give her enough time to pay off a debt and call off the engagement.  What is Claire not telling Nicholas?

Claire is keeping a secret from Nicholas. Sophie, Claire's sister, embezzled money from her boss. She is now married to a senator, but she's run to Claire to handle her problems. Claire steps in to help pay off the blackmailer.  When she meets with the blackmailer with the last installment, she learns that he wants more money. What is Claire to do now? How will she tell Nicholas?

THE BOSS'S CONVENIENT BRIDE is Jennie Adams first novel. This book is filled with warmth, caring, and love.  The reader will enjoy a combination of two stories told into one, Claire' s love and protection for her sister, and her love for Nicholas.  I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend it.
