Present Day, Louisiana

Charmaine LeDeux is in quite the predicament.  A loan shark is after her for fifty thousand dollars, she's had to sell her gorgeous car, and she's declared herself a born again virgin!  To top it all off, Charmaine's ex-husband, Raoul Lanier, has delivered the news that the divorce was never finalized and that his father left her half the ranch.  Raoul wants Charmaine to sign over her half of the ranch and sign the new divorce papers.  Well, Charmaine feels that she shouldn't have to give up her half of the ranch for nothing.

With all that is going on at home, Charmaine goes to the ranch to hide out from the loan shark.  Here she hopes to decide what to do with her half of the ranch and Raoul.  What will happen between Charmaine and Raoul with them living in such close quarters?  Now that they are both older can they learn to love and live with each other?

THE CAJUN COWBOY is an excellent novel.  Sandra Hill has done a perfect job with this Cajun love story.  Charmaine and Raoul are so perfect for each other, but they don't quite realize it at first.  It takes a little interference from Tante Lulu, some sex advice from an old cowboy, Clarence, and some help from St. Jude.  This story is hilarious.  Not only will you love the main characters, but the secondary characters are a hoot, too.  Throw in a little bit of intrigue and you have one for the keeper shelf.  What more could you ask for in a great romance story?
