Josh Thalberg is a cowboy first on the family ranch and an artist second. Josh finds Whitney to be a breath of fresh air and decides to get to know her better. When Whitney talks him into taking a photo for his upcoming line, his whole world comes undone.
Josh and Whitney start dating and things start to change. Josh knows he is falling for her but Whitney is not sure of her feelings for him. Whitney is getting to know the local ladies better and finds some new friends. Coming from a rich and unaffectionate family and attending boarding school makes her unused to these kinds of friends. Whitney has always wished for a close knit family like the Thalbergs.
When Whitney’s family starts pressuring her to come home and work for the family business, something she has always wanted to do but couldn’t because she wasn’t a man, it makes Whitney stop and consider what she really wants out of life.
Will Whitney pick Josh and Valentine Valley or succumb to the pressures from her family to go back to Manhattan? This book is a great story of small town charm, loving neighbors, and family problems that need a change. I am ready for another visit to the Valentine Valley anytime I can. A great story for all.
