The Crystal Rose
Aug 17, 2011 - 12:43:04 PM
When Sheridan finds herself without a job, she calls up her uncle for help. He then gives her employment at his club, The Crystal Rose. Sheridan is on her way to the club when her car tire goes flat. She pulls over, cursing herself for her run of bad luck lately. It only gets worse because suddenly a strange, but gorgeous, hunk by the name of Russell is offering her assistance.
Sheridan is reluctant to trust Russell but soon gives in and accepts a ride to The Crystal Rose. Before long, Sheridan realizes the trouble she has put herself in. It seems the attraction between her and Russell is mutual. Can Sheridan let go of her insecurities and let love in, or is she doomed to a lead a lonely existence?!
Contemporary romance is not usually my go-to genre, but after reading THE CRYSTAL ROSE by author D.L. Mains, I know that I will be reading many more. Just the description of the book had me intrigued, and I have to admit that I was hooked from page one. THE CRYSTAL ROSE did not disappoint. It is a wonderful read, one that I could read over and over. Sheridan and Russell are meant to be, and their story is simply beautiful. D.L. Mains is a very talented writer, and I look forward to picking up her next novel.
