Amber is a charming massage therapist.  She has finally found a career that suits her personality.  The only problem is she does not have a big client base to support her bills that are piling up.  Amber is unorganized, sloppy and has issues about men.  Although she has dated quite a bit, she can not seem to get past the second date.  When her mother harasses her about coming home for Christmas, she has no idea how she will get there.  Only she gets lucky when the cute guy she met a couple days prior asks her to drive with him to Colorado.  She is utterly attracted to him but is too afraid to pursue a relationship with him.  Will Amber discover love on the road with a man who makes her burn inside?  Or will her issues with men cause her to lose yet another suitable man?

Emily is the embodiment of an organized woman who loves her career.

She has recently married a man she loves, inherited two step-kids, a new house, and a mother-in-law who does not like her.  With the Christmas holiday coming, she decides to play hostess this year.  What was she thinking?  She has to do major improvements on the house, pick out a menu and deal with all the shopping.  Emily feels like she is losing complete control of her life.  But she is determined to make it the best Christmas ever for her family.  Will Emily be able to handle all of the stress without losing her mind?  Or will the stress cause her to crash and burn?

Within the pages of THE DANGERS OF MISTLETOE you will encounter a hilarious tale of two sisters, who are as opposite as night and day, try to help each other get through the grueling Christmas holiday.  I laughed, screamed and cried throughout this lovely tale.  The sisters are so likeable that you can not help but to bond with them.  Ms. Alan pens a fun plot, charismatic characters and vivid imagery.  Amber is the unorganized sister.  She has issues about men and love.  Emily is the neat and organized sister, until she is faced with marriage, step-kids and a mother-in-law from your worse nightmare.  The secondary characters are just as energetic and really balance the whole tale out.  I look forward to reading more of Ms. Alan’s work.
