It has been five years since Jim Nixon's ex-wife walked out on him and their boys. Since then Jim's whole life has revolved around his boys, they did everything together. According to his family they did too much together and it was time for Jim to get out and meet someone. He felt a little guilty about leaving his boys but this singles trip was just what he needed right now. Things at work were not going as he had hoped when he was passed over for a promotion, so this little vacation came at the perfect time.

Liv smith was the worst mother in the world at least that is what she was thinking. Liv's brother and sister decided she had been working to hard and she needed to take a break before she started her new job. Since her divorce Liv has been the sole provider for her and her boys and she has worked hard to make sure that they have everything they need. Now it was time for Liv to get a little bit of what she needs, a man for starters.

When Liv sat down next to Jim on the airplane they hit it off immediately, it was almost like fate had placed them together. The next ten days Jim and Liv spent all their time together, things could not have been more perfect. They found out that they only lived around the corner from each other and their boys go to the same school. By the end of the ten days they were thinking about marriage and how to tell the boys about all this, it seemed perfect.

With the vacation over it was time for Jim to return to work and meet his new boss. Nothing could have prepared him when his new boss Olivia Thaxton Smith turns out to be Liv Smith, his fiance. How could Jim marry the woman who took the job he wanted and was now his boss?

THE DATING POOL might be a short read but it packs a big punch. The story in not only incredibly hot but it is also something many people can relate to. Jim and Liv are both likable characters that are trying to move forward after being hurt in the past. Caitlyn Willows has done a great job in creating a short story that was truly enjoyable.
