Cougar shifter Chase Reya does not enjoy spending time with humans. Shannon is not used to having to work to get a man to sleep with her, and although she finds Dirk desirable, the idea of just being with him alone isn’t doing it for her. Shannon knows that convincing Chase to participate in her fantasy threesome will be worth the extra effort. In fact, the more time she spends with him has Shannon thinking that maybe Chase is the man that could be worth risking her heart for one more time. When tragedy strikes though, and Chase is forced to reveal his carefully guarded secret, will Shannon still feel the same?

 

Author Beverly Rae really cranks up the heat in COUGAR, the first story in her WILD THINGS series. This is definitely not a read for the fainthearted. Shannon is older, wiser and way more experienced than the average romance heroine, and she is unapologetic when it comes to asking for what she wants sexually, whether it is sex in public, a threesome or some very hot and heavy text messaging. Despite her confidence though, Shannon is still someone who is looking for love, and that, along with the undeniable chemistry she shares with Chase, is what makes COUGAR such a wonderful romance. With intriguing, likable characters, fun and flirty dialogue and heaps of really smoking hot love scenes, COUGAR was a great read and I can’t wait for more books in this sexy new series.
