FOR THE LOVE OF A KNIGHT is a pretty standard format historical romance, but that certainly doesn't mean it is not enjoyable. The general plot is predictable, but getting from point A to point B involves some intriguing twists and turns that make the story a fun and interesting read. Tristan is a pretty typical knight, honest, brave and loyal. He's not sure about this political marriage but he is willing to try. Lysette is full of trepidation as well, but she likes what she sees when she watches Tristan interact with others. The relationship progresses quickly simply because this is a novella, but it is believable in context. There is some mystery and intrigue thrown in to spice up the romance. FOR THE LOVE OF A KNIGHT is a nice, enjoyable little read; perfect when you want to escape for a short time.
