Jackson is the illegitimate son of a duke.  Having no home of his own and because of this status, Jackson is a soldier for hire.  After years away, he has been asked to return to his father’s castle.  It is on this journey that Jackson overhears a group of men talking about and plotting the death of a ‘sodomite’ they just finished beating and left for dead.  Appalled, Jackson sneaks away with rescue on his mind.

Will is the younger son of a nobleman.  Having known his sexual preferences since he was young, Will hasn’t always made smart decisions concerning his love life.  But the smartest thing he ever does is fall in love with the man that rescues and nurses him back to health.  Jackson is exactly the type of man Will has been yearning for his entire life.  All he has to do is convince Jackson.

Lynn Lorenz grabbed me with JACKSON’S PRIDE.  I found myself wincing at Will and Jackson’s treatment at the hand of the villain and then smiling at the strength of their love.  Add in a somewhat surprising ending and I could not have asked for a better homoerotic love story. 

JACKSON’S PRIDE by Lynn Lorenz is available from Loose Id.  This was such an engaging and truly sweet tale that I am looking forward to reading more from this talented author.
