Emily Redgrave, known among society as Lady Allington, is the best among the secret group of lady spies. At least she was the best. Six months ago Emily was shot in the line of duty. For six months she's been out of the field on bed rest. She can tell her friends and fellow spies, Meredith and Ana, are concerned. They worry about her abilities and only want to protect her. What Emily doesn't want to admit is that she's beginning to question her abilities as well.

Her boss, Charlie, finally agrees to allow her back into the field. Her first assignment is to watch over and protect Lord Westfield. Anyone looking at Westfield's large frame would assume he needs no protection. Charlie explains to Emily that Westfield has been taking risks, and is unaware the he is in danger. Emily's not thrilled at the prospect of babysitting a bored noble who can't stay out of trouble, but she'll do what it takes to prove she's still a great spy.

Lord Westfield, a.k.a. Grant Ashbury, hasn't been the same since "the incident". It has become obvious to his fellow spies that he's taking unnecessary risks and putting himself in danger. In an effort to keep him working, but keep himself out of danger, he's given orders to protect Lady Allington. He's not sure what the widow could have done to put herself in danger, but he's determined to find out.

When Emily and Grant discover they've been tricked, they're furious. However, in the course of her investigation of Lord Westfield, Emily has discovered a plot unlike anything they've ever imagined. Knowing such a big case will be taken from them if they report it, Emily and Grant decide to work together and prove they still have what it takes to serve their country.

SEDUCTION IS FOREVER is the third installment in Jenna Petersen's Lady Spies, and they just keep getting better. I loved reading Emily's story. She and Grant are so perfect for each other. However, it takes them a while to realize it. She's not sure if she can marry again, her first husband left her feeling she was better off without a man. Grant can't bring himself to marry fearing that he'll put the woman he loves in danger with his work. When they find themselves working together, they can't help but be drawn to one another.

Jenna Petersen has written her way onto my keeper shelf. Whether or not more Lady Spy books are written, I will be keeping my eye out for anything from her.
