When Jane St Giles, Lady Sherringham, finds out her friend Delphina, Lady Treywroth, is missing, she knows she has to find her.  Heading to the first place on her list, Jane visits The Club, a common place for men to seek out sexual desires… a place to which Jane knew Del’s husband took her best friend.  Surrounded by men and women seeking out sexual desires, she hires a male prostitute at the club to gain an inside in order to search for her friend.  Little did she know, the man she hired was not so much a stranger but someone she knew quite well.

Lord Wickam gained a notable reputation as a rake many years ago.  Upon visiting The Club, he spots his missing sister’s best friend hiring a prostitute and ends up taking the man’s place in order to find out what Jane is doing at the sex club by herself.

Both are looking for Del and in their search together, they stumble upon secrets only the privileged know of London’s underground world.  Blackmail is a key feature in this exotic world and Jane and Lord Wickam can trust no one.  Will they ever find Del?  In the process can their unmistakable desire toward one another bloom into something more?

Sharon Page is a talented writer.  I felt drawn into the story from the beginning as Jane and Christian went about their search for the missing Del.  The mystery is intriguing and kept me on the edge of my seat and the eroticism is hot! Definitely, a historical that is worth picking up if you like a blend of mystery, history and sex.  Good job, Ms. Page.
