In order to have control of Weaselcopse Manor, the estate he already manages, Inigo Linsley needs to become engaged.   Unfortunately, none of the potential brides appeal.   Besides their obvious faults, they all come with dreadful mamas in tow. He’s well aware that as youngest son, he has little to offer even if he did wish to settle down.  However, Inigo can’t seem to get his sister-in-law’s dearest friend out of his head.  She’s completely unsuitable, seeing she’s Trade and all but engaged to one of several men hoping to earn her hand.

 

THE RULES OF GENTILITY is absolutely delightful.   Told in first person, alternating between Philomena and Inigo, this second entry by new author Janet Mullany moves along at a very rapid pace.  Billed as a Regency Historical, this book is sure to reach a much-wider reading audience with its chick-lit tone and contemporary style.  It’s funny, it’s sassy, and it’s intelligently written.   Ms. Mullany is quickly proving she’s a very talented author with a wonderful future ahead.
