Frankie Lane is a shape-shifter currently stuck in her Persian cat form. She cannot maintain her human form unless she is engaged in something called mating fever. Frankie is homeless, lost, and trapped inside a dumpster behind a Chinese restaurant just days before Christmas. As she becomes increasingly frantic about her situation, Frankie is unexpectedly rescued by a Good Samaritan named Glynice.

Glynice works for attorney Sam Carsters, a workaholic who is the son of her former boss. She is determined to give Sam a reason to go home each night at a decent hour and start enjoying his life. Glynice retrieves the Persian cat from the dumpster and decides to give the cat to Sam as an early Christmas present.

Sam is a criminal defense attorney and owns a prestigious law firm. He avoids emotional connections and any type of relationship. He is also now the not-so-proud owner of his very own Persian cat. Sam has no idea that his new pet is half-human and sexy as sin until something unexpected happens.

Frankie has run away from a mate who was chosen for her by her parents. She does not want a mate. However, Frankie desperately requires one or she will be stuck in her cat form permanently. Frankie needs somewhere to hide while she decides what to do about her proposed mate. So what if the guy whose desk she ends up on is gorgeous and makes her out of control hormones meow?   Will Frankie be able to find a mate on her own in time to prevent her from turning forever feline? Can Sam handle the upheaval his new pet causes in his life? What will Sam do when he discovers his pretty cat is actually a drop-dead, gorgeous woman?

Dakota Cassidy has hit a home run with this hilarious paranormal romance.   Frankie Lane is a sassy heroine with attitude to spare. It is impossible not to like her. The humor of Frankie’s internal monologues and the situations which she kept finding herself in hooked me from page one.   Glynice is a feisty character who had me laughing each time she made an appearance in this delightful story. Sam is perfect for Frankie, as he is the perfect foil for her personality. He is handsome and sexy, yet slightly paranoid due to his profession. This quality leads to some interesting tension between the main characters.

A WERE-CAT CHRISTMAS is a marvelous holiday story. I loved it so much that I read it in one sitting; then, I read it again. If you enjoy comedy mixed with your romance, you should definitely pick up this gem of a book.   A Dakota Cassidy story always adds mirth to the bleakest day.   Grab a copy of A WERE-CAT CHRISTMAS for a laugh-out-loud good time!
