For the first thirty years of Lizzie Brown’s life, everything was normal.  She had worked at Happy Hands Preschool for seven years, interacting with her preschoolers.  Then two months ago, her grandmother found her and Lizzie discovered she has the powers to destroy demons.  However, when it comes to ability, she is not quite as good as required, at least not yet.  However, she is doing her best.  Coordinating fire drills, potty breaks and field trips for three-year-olds did not prepare her for bloodthirsty, curse-hurling imps and rancorous demons.  Since she discovered her powers, Lizzie has been busy; saving Dimitri’s sisters and then preventing Armageddon on the Las Vegas Strip.  Lizzie’s grandma also has magical powers and she leads a gang of bikers called the Red Skull biker witches, with names such as Ant Eater, Grandma’s second-in-command.  In fact, Lizzie’s back up consists of her grandma, her feisty Jack Russell terrier Pirate, who began speaking when Lizzie came into her powers, and Lizzie’s shape shifting, griffin boyfriend Dimitri.

Dimitri has two sisters, Diana and Dyonne, who had lived their whole lives under a demon’s curse.   According to the curse, they will fall into a coma the day they turn twenty-eight and twenty-eight days later, they will die.  However, they are past that age now, as Dimitri, with Lizzie’s help, managed to break the curse. He loves Lizzie and is determined to protect her.  In fact, his greatest fear is that something will happen to her.

Dimitri is taking Lizzie to Greece to meet his family.  Since his business kept him from taking her to the airport, her grandma took her there.  Just before Lizzie got on the plane, her grandma gave her a small wooden box, telling Lizzie that she thought she was ready for it now.  To be sure, grandma gave her a test; Lizzie had to open the box, which had no openings.  Lizzie knew how to open the box; she was just reluctant, not knowing what was inside.  When she opened it, she found an invisible bar, which foretold Lizzie’s death.  However, her grandma told her that free will always overrides anything so she can keep the vision from coming true.  Grandma had an additional bit of information for her.  Instead of the relaxing vacation she had foreseen, her grandma has found her an instructor in Greece.

On the plane Dimitri had a confession to make to her.  When he was looking for a demon slayer to help his sisters, he used old griffin magic and he used a trace of her power to find the rest of her.  He had used a form of protective magic for his own purposes and, as he explained, when protective magic is used to expose rather than to guard, it makes the subject very vulnerable.  Though he kept the thread well protected in a light box in his study, someone broke into his office the previous night.  Upon their arrival home, after battling imps, they discovered that the thread was missing and the possibilities for destruction were infinite.  It could even be used to manipulate Lizzie and could be dangerous in the wrong hands, but it seems that no one has used it yet or Lizzie would know.  When it does happen, will she be prepared to come face-to-face with herself?  Will it be used to fulfill Lizzie’s death vision?

A TALE OF TWO DEMON SLAYERS, the third book in Angie Fox’s DEMON SLAYER series, is a delightfully witty paranormal romance.  The interaction with Pirate and his new pet were hilarious and very imaginative.  Filled with adventure, bizarre humor, intrigue, imagination, an original plot, romance, surprising plot twists and unbelievable characters, this book is unforgettable.  The outrageous secondary characters add great appeal to the story.  If you enjoy this story, you are sure to enjoy the first two books in this series, THE ACCIDENTAL DEMON SLAYER and THE DANGEROUS BOOK FOR DEMON SLAYERS.  As I eagerly await the next book in this series, be sure to grab your own copy of A TALE OF TWO DEMON SLAYERS.
