Ben Stanton started home from work one night and disappeared for four days. No one knows what happened during that time because Ben has not spoken for a year. He lives with his sister, Gail, in Manhattan who watches out for him.
Stephen had thrilled Lita with stories of islands with warm, sandy beaches on Earth. She makes that her destination but finds herself on Manhattan Island on Christmas Eve where it is very cold and everything is covered in an icy substance. She wonders where those warm sandy beaches are to be found.
A package is dropped by a lady emerging from a yellow vehicle. She stoops to pick up the package and hails the lady who dropped it. She is invited into the warm building to wait while the lady takes her other packages into her apartment. As Lita enters the doorway of the large building, she finds herself enclosed in a strong pair of arms. For some strange reason, she is not afraid. She feels safe in those arms. Those arms belong to Ben and the lady is his sister, Gail. Gail is quite surprised that Ben has taken a sudden interest in the stranger and invites her into their home. Ben names her Angel.
Ashleigh Raine tells a tale of love, separation and despair. Follow Ben and Lita/Angel through a year of love, separation and despair. Discover what the fates have in store when the year is up and Lita returns to her own people.
Angel in Moonlight is a keeper. If this story is indicative of what Ashleigh Raine is capable of telling, it won’t be the last one I read. This book is highly recommended and should be kept on your keeper shelf.
