Petra uses her bond to get in touch with Cheveyo. All she has to do is get him to meet with Pope, and Pope will take care of the rest of the details. Unfortunately, things go down a lot differently than planned. Petra finds herself becoming involved in affairs that she knows very little about, but she will do whatever it takes to protect the man she has loved for so long, Cheveyo. She just has to show him that there is more to him than just his job.
If you are looking for a new addiction, then look no further than Jaime Rush's compelling series, THE OFFSPRING. It consists of five books to date; A PERFECT DARKNESS, OUT OF THE DARKNESS, TOUCHING DARKNESS, BURNING DARKNESS and BEYOND THE DARKNESS. Each book is about a different member of the OFFSPRING, and each story has touched my heart. BEYOND THE DARKNESS has a "Roswell" feel to it and since I am a big fan of that TV show, I really enjoyed this book. It is a toss-up as to which book in the OFFSPRING series is my favorite because they are all so good. It would have to be either the first, A PERFECT DARKNESS or the latest, BEYOND THE DARKNESS. Both novels are extremely well written.
