Atticus, a creature of the night, and a man on the brink of giving up after years of walking alone, makes a spur of the moment decision to take the bus to the neighboring resort. He is a loner of sort, but finds himself fascinated by one of the passengers on the bus who goes out of her way to attract his attention.

Lissa is at the end of her tethers in regards to work and makes a decision to attend a conference in the hope of something positive happening. Lissa is caught in the essence of one of the passengers on the bus and goes out of her way to get his attention, little good did it do her as he seemed not to have noticed her.
