Tristan Northland comes from a long line of powerful witches. Centuries ago, one of his ancestors placed a terrible curse on her unfaithful lover, and all his descendents. Tristan feels that he is the only one who can break the curse and put an end to the Sterling families’ suffering but first, he must convince Benjamin Sterling to give him a chance.

Benjamin, like all the Sterling men before him is cursed with a form of lycanthropy. In other words, Benjamin is a werewolf who would do anything to spare his young son from the same terrible fate. For years, he has searched in vain for a cure to his affliction, and he has just about given up hope. When Tristan arrives at his office unexpectedly, claiming to want to help his family, he is understandably wary.

The young witch inspires desire in Benjamin and in his wolf as well. Although, Benjamin doesn’t believe Tristan will be able to break the curse he agrees to let him try in order to keep Tristan close. He wants to get to know Tristan better, and get to the bottom of his unexpected feelings toward him.  Tristan is determined to keep his promise and cure Benjamin, however, this proves more difficult than he first imagined. As Tristan and Benjamin get to know one another the attraction between them grows. Will Tristan and Benjamin find the answers that they seek or is their love doomed from the start?

CURSED by Rhianne Aile is a unique and intriguing take on the shape shifter romance genre. I was never bored while reading this novel. This story is suitably creepy and sent a tingle up my spine because the paranormal elements felt very real to me. The author made me believe that the curse and Tristan’s powers could really exist. The characters are also captivating and well-developed. Tristan is an appealing and amiable young man. He was a lot of fun to get to know, and Benjamin is a tormented hero with a tantalizing possessive streak. The plot is layered and has many unexpected twist and turns. All these elements meld exceptionally well in this story. I enjoyed this story from beginning to end and hope to read more from the CURSED universe in the future.
