David has experience with the mystical because one of his friends is a dragon. But other than that, David lives a pretty normal life as a professor at the local university who enjoys surfing the internet. David finds himself entering an antique shop looking to buy a gift for his sister’s birthday. For some reason a wooden box calls to him and he buys it, or rather the shopkeeper gives it to him since he helped her foil a robbery. With his reward, David goes back to his new farmhouse he bought and will fix up.

 

David begins to have intense sexual dreams with a strange yet beautiful woman. She tells him he must open the box and when he awakens, he does so and Anissa appears before him. He is a bit shocked but fascinated. As Anissa explains who she is, David decides he will free her from her prison and help her escape the villainous Murdock. David calls on the help of his friends to help find a way out for Anissa. But as Anissa and David grow closer, she may not want to give up her new master and prefer to stay with him since they both may have fallen in love with each other.

 

DJINNI AND THE GEEK is a very sweet romance with moments of steamy lovemaking and wonderful interactions between David, a self proclaimed geek, and his slave. David is a nicely written character who respects Anissa from the moment she pops into his life. He is so well-rounded that he doesn’t act on his desires for his djinni right away and refuses to use his three wishes on himself, but rather to release Anissa from her curse. Anissa is beyond sweet and maybe a bit naïve, but she is quite strong and can stand up for herself. There is also an interesting set of characters that completes David’s circle of friends that I also enjoyed reading.

 

Fans of steamy love scenes will not be disappointed in the least since Anissa and David have great chemistry together. Cindy Spencer Pape has written one appealing genie tale that should leave you with a smile on your face knowing that a geek has finally found a wonderful love with a woman both beautiful inside and out.
