Aislinn is forever bonded to Keenan, the Summer King of Faerie.  The only problem is that she doesn’t love him.  There is just something about him that makes her wonder about his sincerity and loyalty.  Their rule is more of a partnership with them each loving someone else.  Her mortal boyfriend, Seth, is everything she wants now but he’s human.  Unless there is some divine intervention, they won’t ever be able to be together forever.  As Seth tries to find a way to have Aislinn as his beloved, Keenan and Aislinn are becoming closer.  Will Seth succeed?

FRAGILE ETERNITY is the third book in the series yet I think it is more of a sequel to WICKED LOVELY.  Aislinn starts to come into her own as a ruler but her love life is anything but normal.  Although she loves Seth, his mortality is a problem.  It’s a constant thorn in their happiness which Seth is hoping to find a way to remedy.  As he tries to do so, Aislinn becomes more involved with Keenan.  Although Keenan may not love Aislinn as deeply as Donia, the new Ice Queen, he still wants her.   It makes things quite complicated but the story is far from over.  I think Sir Walter Scott said it best when he said, “Oh the tangled web we weave, when we first practice to deceive” captures the essence of FRAGILE ETERNITY.  Along with the secondary characters, I believe that these relationships are far from being sorted out.  The only problem is that Faerie may suffer because of it.  It will be interesting to see what happens next as the secrets and plots are revealed.
