Just when she gets moved in, more bad news arrives, as if Merit does not have enough on her plate already. Turns out some vampires are having Raves, a sort of party where a lot of vampires gather to feed on humans. And to top it all off, a reporter is scouting out a new story on vampires, and it is not going to be a good one. Now it is up to Merit to make sure that story does not happen and to do that she has to get back in the good graces of her well-off family. She must become a go-between for vampires and humans. Merit is finally getting down to business and soon finds herself facing an old enemy. And this time things are not looking to good.
FRIDAY NIGHT BITES is the second novel in the CHICAGOLAND VAMPIRES series and I think it is even better than the first. Don't get me wrong, I loved the first book, SOME GIRLS BITE, but FRIDAY NIGHT BITES has even more passion and tons of action. Merit really has her hands full with maintaining her duties and two gorgeous men on her hands. All of the characters are extremely witty and I love every one of them. A lot of heroines tend to be full of themselves or too silly to be likeable, but not Merit. She is intelligent, strong, and very rarely lets her guard down. She is all about staying focused. I loved every last minute of FRIDAY NIGHT BITES and I cannot wait to see what is next on Merit's agenda.
