Nick Wyatt has spent his whole life on the run from strange beings that his mother referred to as aliens. When Nick’s mother is killed by these creatures, Nick is left alone to fend for himself. However, Nick does have one shot at surviving; the mysterious stone that belonged to his mother has now attached itself to Nick and it telepathically informs him when danger is nearby. Using the powers of the stone, Nick not only avoids the aliens, but he tries to help out people who are the victims of violent crime. Doing this service for mankind gives Nick a reason to keep on surviving. Riane Arvid is a warrior woman; an Enforcer who acts as sort of a time cop. Her father Baran is known as the Death Lord by his enemies and feared by all. Riane helps her people fight against their enemies, the Xerans, not only to protect their planet, but because she has a personal grudge against them. Riane was kidnapped as a young girl by the Xerans. She was meant to be a living sacrifice to their god. Baran and Frieka, Riane’s cyborg wolf companion, were able to rescue her in time, thanks to assistance from a mysterious source. Now Riane is all grown up and thirsting for revenge. She is betrayed though, by one of her fellow Enforcers, and is thrust into the past to 21st century Earth. Alone and trapped in a strange world, Riane is a sitting duck waiting to be killed by her enemies. Until she meets Nick, a stranger whom her mind tells her could be dangerous, but her body tells her he could be the man she’s always waited for. |
