Amanda is a romance author diving into new territory; a new book with paranormal overtones.  There is a full moon lighting the sky outside her office window yet she still couldn't see anything in the distance.  Often at night she hears howling in the distance, sometimes it sounds mournful; at other times, it sounds angry.  Damn, her friends are right, she supposes.  She needs to get a life outside of her writing.

Dane is a naked stranger that shows up at Amanda’s door in the wee hours of the morning.  She is helpful to him and allows him to use her spare bedroom.  He is weak and in pain from the wounds that the rogue wolves gave him earlier that afternoon.  He's made it past the wolves but will he stay safe?

Dane has been watching Amanda from afar.  She isn't his kind, yet she calls to him in ways he doesn’t understand.  He‘s always mated with his kind of people, ones that would understand his need to be both wolf and human.  He has to fight his feelings; Amanda wouldn't understand, or would she?  Amanda is already attracted to him and got quite the eye full before covering him with a sheet.  Are these two meant to transcend the boundaries that are presently keeping them apart?  Gosh, this one‘s a keeper.

Ms. Erickson did very well with NIGHT WOLF.  A story full of heat and passion between two very different people, and is that species, too?  I loved the approach used on this one; an author writing about an author.  Did she use herself or a favored author as her premise?  Was this a mirror to her soul?  Not sure, but I'm going keep this and reread it whenever I need a pick-me-up.
