Spade soon sets about creating a place for himself in Ace’s life. Ace realizes that one hand has changed his entire life more than he could ever have imagined.
I have only recently discovered the writing of Rowan McBride but I am rapidly becoming a huge fan. Mr. McBride has an amazing imagination and his writing is both unique and captivating. ONE GOOD HAND is no exception. Ace Donavan is an intriguing character. He is someone who is used to being alone. He is rough around the edges but he also has a very kind heart. I genuinely liked him. I don’t want to give anything away so I will just say that Spade is a very special character and I really enjoyed getting to know him. Ace and Spade have a burning hot relationship that is also tender and very sweet. The plot of this novel is a lot of fun. The world of high stakes poker makes for a fascinating backdrop to the story. I really enjoyed reading this novel.
