Ceres is beautiful, ethereally and utterly irresistible to Holt. Like a siren rising form the sea the moment he beholds her he wishes to possess her. But she is forbidden. Humans and elves do not mate and to do so will bring about a war like none he has fought before, yet he can't walk away.
She knows she should not want him but her desire for him runs deep. As she embraces her destiny she finds that Holt is the one man who can complete her, he is her fated. Together they will embark on a love that is as consuming as it is forbidden. Taking what her heart desires however may ultimately cost Ceres everything she holds dear.
QUEST INTO THE FORBIDDEN is the third book set in Ms. Gilfoy's New Pangaean realm and is possibly the best so far. With this installment more clues to the history of this complex land are revealed and while not all of my questions were answered I feel I now have a better understanding of the people in this vast world.
Holt is unashamedly Alpha and has no qualms about taking what he wants. He will do whatever it takes to acquire his desires and make no excuses for it. Ceres is equally strong and is uniquely open-minded in a society riddled with beliefs that are clearly black and white. Together they are a couple that is well balanced and clearly right for one another.
QUEST INTO THE FORBIDDEN is a well-plotted and well written with hidden depths that are extremely engaging. As I read each book in this bright new world I have become more and more convinced of Ms. Gilfoy's brilliance as a writer and in me she has found a dedicated fan.
