In the not-so-distant future, in a galaxy not so far away, injured and stressed persons are healed by gifted psychics who are able to take their pain away. In a universe wracked with warfare, pain and suffering, their skills are priceless.

Noelle works as a healer at the Elysium Station. Gifted with empathy, she is able to take the psychological pain of her patients in several ways. One of the best in her profession, she never allows her patients to get too close, until the day she met Damon.

Damon was a warrior, suffering from the horrors of war, desperately in need of Noelle’s assistance. After a disastrous healing session that nearly killed his first healer, he is reluctant to inflict his pain on anyone else.

Once Damon arrives at Elysium, he discovers that Noelle is more then he ever imagined. Noelle discovers that Damon is so much more than just another patient and she finally allows someone to get close to the real person inside herself. But once Damon is healed, he will have to leave again. Can Noelle help free him of his burdens? Will the cost to her be too painful to bear?

SEXUAL HEALING was excellent! I wish this story had been so much longer, because the author has made a very interesting alternate reality. I loved how giving Noelle’s character was, and not just in the physical sense. She truly wanted to help her patients, even if it meant that she herself would be in pain. Damon’s character was an excellent version of the tortured hero, with the terrible things he had seen in war, and the losses he had experienced. The ending of SEXUAL HEALING was just perfect as well. All in all, this was an excellent read.
