Frankie inherited a dilapidated plantation from her grandmother, something she could finally call her own. The locals, however, warn her against the hauntings on Casa Verde, but it’s not enough to scare the stubborn New Yorker away. At least not yet. So when her car breaks down, she meets Rico at a bar, and accepts his offer to help her back to her house. But being near Rico, the tough as nails man, makes her all too thankful when her imagination runs wild and her fears set in.
Strange happenings occur on Casa Verde and it’s up to Rico to figure it all out. A predator is stalking the island and the next victim on his list is the plantation’s sexy new owner, Frankie Montlavo.
If you like edge of your seat suspense, hunky heroes and heroines you can relate to, then DARK WATERS is the story for you. Filled with a gripping suspense tale, I found myself thoroughly enthralled with the story, unable to put it down. Ms. Hewitt doesn’t disappoint her readers. I highly recommend this book.
