Sexy deputy Hank Crossman answers the call but he wants to investigate Nicky a lot more than some petty vandals. Hank’s a guy with a lot of ghosts clinging to him. Hank is the kind of guy every woman wants: tough, sexy, protective and basically good-hearted. Nickie’s a woman finding her way back from a bad marriage but she’s got guts. This is no whining female. Together, the two are compelling characters and Quinn has created a suspenseful story that’s going to keep readers turning the sizzling pages long into the night.
