Erotic artist Jude St.Laurent lost both his eyesight and large chunks of his memory in what he was told was a near fatal car crash. While struggling to come to terms with his new life, Jude is tormented by nightmares and fractured bits of memory where he seems to recall killing people, many times. When Jude agrees to hire a personal assistant, he is hoping against hope that, along with easing his physical torments, the woman can help him unearth clues to his past.
When Lily arrives under the guise of being Jude’s new assistant, her real mission is clear; discover the missing files that will incriminate St. Laurent as a traitor to his country, and then eliminate St. Laurent. Lily becomes suspicious though, when it seems to her that the character of the man she is coming to know and understand doesn’t match up with the description she had been given. Soon Lily begins to doubt everything she has been told about Jude St. Laurent, including his guilt, but will she be able to discover the truth before it’s too late for both of them?
I SPY A WICKED SIN is an edgy and intriguing start to author Jo Davis’ new series about the mysterious SHADO AGENCY. I SPY A WICKED SIN has a fast-paced storyline as well as enough suspense and spy-games to thrill any mystery lover, but at its core, the story centers on the very hot and sensual relationship between assassin Lily Vale and her target, Jude St.Laurent. One note to readers though, this is not a sweet romance. Lily and Jude are both highly sexual people, and many of the book’s explicit love scenes focus on both characters being intimate with other people.
Overall, I found I SPY A WICKED SIN to be a sexy, riveting story and I’m curious to see what comes next in the SHADO AGENCY series.
