Patrick also knows how to enjoy himself. He frequents many gay clubs with his friends and brings home a man or two. However, Pat doesn’t realize that his professional and private lives are about to collide. Gay men are being murdered and the police are under a lot of pressure to solve the case. Pat is assigned to a special detail whose sole purpose is to catch the killer. If he solves the case he will jump start his career but will he out himself in the process?

 

MURDER MOST GAY by John Simpson is a thrilling and erotic murder mystery. I really enjoyed the realistic look at the police force and the insight I gained into what life must be like for minority cops is fascinating. The author does a great job of shedding light on the homophobic and racist attitudes that are prevalent among the police. The plot held my interest and having all the events described by Patrick gave the story a very personal significance.
